Off to Seattle!

window seat I’m traveling today, and won’t be back home until next Wednesday. I do expect to update Hearth Cricket while I’m in the Northwest, but I’ve had previous problems hooking into the Internet at the friends’ house where I’ll be staying, so posts might be short.

And I thought I’d share part of what the lovely and generous Connie Payne said in her review of Wined and Died on yesterday:

“Layer upon layer continues to be added to each character and subsequent story in this series. You care about Sophie and the members of her home. You want to be part of their lives. You want to revisit other characters in Cadyville from previous investigations. When I pick up a book by Cricket McRae, I know I’m going to be absorbed by the intrigue, entertained and fascinated by the characters of Sophie Mae’s household, secondary characters included.

“Ms. McRae’s sharp wit and way of weaving a story together create a winning combination that will appeal to a wide range of readers. I will say, my list of favorite authors is not overly long, but Cricket definitely ranks in the top ten.”

The top ten! Wow, Connie – THANK YOU!

  1. Drat! I discovered your books about a month too late--I'll be watching to see if you head back to the Seattle area again!
