At least that's how it feels every once in a while. If it goes on for too long, productivity decreases and discontent lurks on the horizon.
That's when it's a good idea to come back to the basics. To simple pleasures. To paying attention to what's here and now, because that's all there ever really is. It's a way to ground ourselves again, and to regain perspective.
Today I've been paying attention to:
--Freshly squeezed grapefruit juice
--A friendly smile at the post office
--The sound of pen on paper
And at some point, I hope,
--An afternoon nap
